Yes but it's not surprising. Like others have mentioned she is not as global as other pop girls. Also the fact that touring and performing are the only things she excels at. The American media tries to make her seem like she's bigger than she actually is and far above the other pop girls. Though many people buy into it, the American media doesn't always speak for the world and I guess her sales and popularity (or lack of) in some countries show that.
