An artist who has only had one Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. I've written up some rules for submissions, though:
- The artist must have one (and ONLY one) Top 40 hit.
- The artist's one hit must be at least 10 years old. This is because it's not unusual to see so-called "one hit wonders" unexpectedly come back a few years later with another hit or two (case in point: Neon Trees, Mike Posner, the Chainsmokers).
- The artist/group cannot be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This is so we avoid getting artists like Jimi Hendrix, who technically only had one hit, but who is remembered for much more than that.
- Other than that, use your best judgment. Don't submit artists who you know are remembered for more than just one song.
If that seems too restrictive, here's a list of songs that fit the criteria:

Ace, could please do the good sis ECNEICSNOC a favor and add the link to ha Missy Singles Rate to the first page? Maybe it will help with promo if people can find it more easily.
Working on my scores for the UO90sG now. So many good songs in this round.

Oh, and we discussed it before, but can we plan an 80s and 90s "not as big as DC and TLC" U.S. Girl Groups rate (I'd like for Xscape, Bangles, Seduction, and En Vogue to get some ATRL love)

Don't forget SWV, Total, and Brownstone!
Also are we ever gonna continue female fronted bands with Soul/RnB groups

Sheila Weller's Girls Like Us inspired my idea for a new rate. I want to do one that involves Carole King, Carly Simon, and Joni Mitchell. Participants would have to rate each artist's most well-known album. In this case, the albums would be Tapestry, No Secrets, and Blue.
This reminds that I still want someone to host the color-themed singer-songwriters rate.
There might have been an album with a white cover in there, too?
Yeah, those are pretty much the major ones. It'd be nice to do one with the ones who have been slightly forgotten (Jade, Total, SWV, Exposé, Changing Faces, etc.).

Will there later in the year be a rate like the 2013 one with BEYONCE, ARTPOP, BJ, Prism and the other one (no shade I forgot which one was)?
I hope so
