There have always been racists they just never said anything but now with the Brexit vote they feel like the majority is with them and that they can be more outspoken with their racism, I think it is mainly the north of England that are like that though, we aren't all bad.
Islamophobia is on the rise and I can understand why given what European countries have been through these last 2 years. A lot of resentment and hate has accumulated toward Muslims and Arabs and not just in England, throughout the whole of Europe. And I can't blame them. Is it wrong? Yes. But it is what it is.
Because I've always wanted to live in the UK but now it seems like impossible
