The first four are American Idol songs. Aside from Carrie, all the artists are forgotten, and Carrie doesn't even remember IYH. She never recorded a music video for it even. I would say that the only remembered AI coronation song is AMLT.
3 was a GH single. It's pretty impressive it did as well as it did tbh.
Bye @ Not Afraid not being huge
We R Who We R felt pretty big imo, although honestly not like a #1. Die Young felt like a #1 right before radio dropped it, though.
HIAM was a more experimental sound and sold off hype. Till The World Ends feels much bigger, but that's because it was a radio-friendly single.
Born This Way is referenced all the time, everyone knows it.
Part of Me sold off hype. It was overshadowed by the other singles from that era.
Harlem Shake was a meme that hit its peak right when Billboard changed the Hot 100 formula.
Shake It Off sold off hype, but it was still huge.
What Do You Mean also sold off hype, and was pretty big but overshadowed by Sorry.
Hello sold off hype and was still huge.
Pillowtalk is kinda weird. Like, it's huge, but I think due to it never being promoted it felt like it wasn't anywhere until radio finally picked it up. It also sold off hype.
CSTF is currently huge. If it wasn't for One Dance having huge streaming it would be #1 right now.
