^ nah she's compromised enough, but i guess she'll keep compromising. for a while anyway. i am sure the RCA guys have a way to pivot her into the direction they want her to go. and pink seems kinda uninspred, lazy and more than okay with it these days.

Pink is not fighting any fight. She would not have signed a multi-album contract with RCA if that were the case. She's doing what she wants to do and she wants commercial success!

She doesn't fight any fight, she was very positively welcomed by RCA which is good and the results we see are (well, you know how her GTHSF and TTAL are) she effortlessly created her momentum.

But

We all root for her pre-IND era and what she deliver in IND, she basically is not a generic pop producer.

Her voice is unique and I feel mad with her choice to did 85% of her materials just pale. I want the uncompromising Alicia and raw.

We expect so much from P!nk tbh.. but that's because we know she can and that makes us mad but anytime she releases her new single, there would be guilty pleasures as well as the album.

I feel gratitude to have P!nk around tho... nothing and no one can hold a candle to her.

TTAL is a good album. It's the themes that are lacking. Also, it is structurally similar to IND and Funhouse which makes the argument that all of her albums are the same, even when the music itself has changed.

Unless she starts looking outwards for inspiration she'll just keep writing about the same themes. Because her life is finally stable. It's static. Which is good when you're in your mid 30's after you worked your ass off for 15 years to be successful. I would just like to see her spunk back.

I feel like RCA would let her change, but only to a point. Pink is currently a lot more popular than Kelly, so the label wasn't going to risk her doing some random stuff and flopping. Which didn't work because Kelly wasn't as into it, and you could tell. I'm sure they will make sure Pink has some hits on her album though.

I'm not about to have P!nk drop off the face of the Earth. So bring those radio smashes.

What's funny is that the music that P!nk gets called generic for is the same music she made mainstream in the first place.

Also, the reason why her covers get a lot of love over some or her own work is because they're usually classic rock songs. What is the difference between the rock of old and today's pop? Choruses. White Rabbit is 2:30 of music. No line repeats itself. That style is new and exciting coming from P!nk. She wouldn't even have to drop pop/rock to change her sound. Just focus less on the chorus and make songs like in the old days

However radio prefers songs to be about 3:30. And you know the saying "don't bore us, get to the chorus" which is like the number one rule in pop music

Hopes of Pink/Kelly duet slowly dying

It was never going to happen. I could duet with P!nk sooner than Kelly

i'm actually glad about this. pink's music has been pretty much interchangeable with kelly's since 2006 and a duet would have been just another boring pop/rock song. i'd rather have pink duet with people that are out of her comfort zone in order to deliver something actually unexpected and (hopefully) great.
