But from the other thread, I notice people bring up X's vocals and talent when it comes to her legacy, while people don't really give clear answers for Britney. Can someone enlighten us what is Britney's legacy as an artist?
I don't really know to be quite honest. None of her songs, albums, looks, music videos, choreographies are remembered so I really do wonder
Maybe she's the luckiest popstar even, so that's her legacy ? One can only wonder.
Selling millions of album and is still remembered. She sets the standard even for herself. People compare her to herself. They also compare other pop stars to her. Imagery, controversy, music videos, classic songs, performances are her legacy.

You mean the album Selena said to be inspired by Stripped? And Meghan's ONE song that didn't do so well on the charts and caused her album sales to plummet compared to her first album?
Her legacy's got to do with her big ups that got overshadowed by her huge downs like her decline with each album, and her breakdown.
Objectively speaking, I'm not sure if these "ups" are that remembered though (although they are mentioned sometimes by sites like Buzzfeed). I only really see memes about her breakdown these days.
I don't see her songs sung at talent shows or get played anywhere, like X's songs do.
