Loved Fear may give you power over people but it's based on authority rather than trust, and none of your relationships are genuine if people are scared of you. I would rather be loved by a few people than feared by a nation.
This question is actually inspired by the questions raised by various media to a newly elected leader. The reporter asked if, as a leader, would you rather be loved by people or feared by them? And as the leader of a country wherein crimes are rampant, he chose to be feared in order to discipline the people.
