For a comparison, the most recent VMA's had 5.03M viewers, the 2016 MTV Movie Awards had 3.5M viewers (across multiple networks, just like the BET awards were broadcast on multiple networks). This years Academy Awards drew in 34M viewers with a 10.5 in the 18-49 demo, the 2016 Grammy's saw 25M viewers with a 7.7 in the 18–49 demo
