I studied and got my bachelors in advertising and public relations. It is a great and stable field to get into. Communication skills will always be needed.
The way to succeed in public relations is to get a good education in the field, make connections by attending networking sessions, and landing internships. Internships are super important because you learn things in them that can't be taught in a classroom.
I don't know if you live in the United States but if you do, check out the
Public Relations Society of America. You can find a lot of information there, including internships, jobs, and networking events in your area.
Also, if you do go into this field make sure to clean up your social media and get on LinkedIn. This field is all about the image and personal brand you convey.
