Barcelona fans aren't like that though. Argentine media and fans drag him when they get the chance while he remains humble in defeat and they always like to compare him to Maradona as if the level of play is the same every generation no matter if he wins or loses. It's always his fault if Argentina loses not even minding the fact that he is being marked by several defenders cause he can't do anything and the players around him aren't jusy clinical enough when he becomes a playmaker. A second place is never enough for his country. They want gold. The loud voices like that could get in your psyche.
Argentina's Football Association relies so much on talent yet they flop with their support . You could tell considering all of their starting XI players are playing in Europe or internationally. That's a mess in grassroots levels. Argentina's just a collection of stars and was never a team. That's what they don't understand. Argentina is not cohesive enough to win the finals when they are in the most pressure to win. And it's always Messi's fault.
Lio is exhausted cause he knows deeply that talent without teamwork can't win against talent in a solid team especially one that is guided with good tactics and management. Those second places are going to frustrate anyone knowing you are almost there but **** happens. But oh well the media will always paint him as a Catalan traitor, a Maradona wanna-bee and a runner up never a champion for his country just a beast in a club player.
