Game of Thrones is quite known for its bloody imagery, resulting in death scenes of various characters. Some more painful than the other. Which GoT death had you the most shook?

Stannis' daughter for the most obvious reasons. I'm glad Melissandra got finally got clocked for that inconceivable action.

I read the books first so up until this season I wasn't surprised by any of the scenes, but I was moved by many nevertheless. Maester Luwin's gets me every time, and Hodor's was something really devastating. I never realized how much I liked him until he was dead and his backstory was revealed. Cat's and Maester Aemon's deaths were heart-wrenching in the book, I feel like the series didn't really convey those, but they were upsetting onscreen regardless.

Edit: Oh, I forgot about Shireen. That was heartbreaking too, especially with Selyse changing her mind in the middle of the execution and hanging herself afterwards.

Shireen's death felt so stupid and out of character for Stannis, that I almost don't believe it happened, so it had no affect. Like basically, it was too dumb

Robbs death was something I didn't see coming at all. I loved him. Vulnerable, innocent boy that deserved better. I was really shook after that. And Catelyns acting in that scene. When she said 'Please, he's my son' I was like no b**ch he's my son And him saying mother before Bolton says the legendary 'Lannisters send their regards'.

But Hodors dead was pretty sad too. Brans realization that he's the reason Hodor can say only Hodor and the realization of him affecting future past

Not ya'll voting Margaery. Like queen deserved better but it definitely wasn't sad, nor surprising, it was just 'how dare they!' moment

Robb of course. It was so sad seeing the hottest guy died on the show. Now we only have Jon Rivers Sand Snow.

Also Mathos Seaworth.... (Ser Davos's Son). I fell in love with him after he died. Burned by Melissandre of course. That b****!

EDIT - Robb was the saddest for real though, and very unexpected.

Shireen was the saddest, she did not deserve that. Her screams in that episode were haunting....Hodor too, they were so innocent.

Most shocking/gruesome... Probably Robb/Cat, Ramsey and Oberyn

Shireen, she was innocent and pure.

Robb/Catelyn - they were trying to do good and their lives were snatched in an instant. The Red Wedding came out of nowhere and it made me sad and angry.

Margaery Tyrell - she had so much potential as a ruler. She also loved the small folk and they loved her back.

Eddard Stark - a legitimately good person that didn't deserve to die.
