I moved out of my small, boring hometown last year and now I live in a metropolitan area where I can thrive with more like-minded individuals, there is more opportunity for me and more things to do. I restricted so much of myself during my school years, i grew up around the same people and i never wanted to fully express myself because i didnt want to have to live with the judgement throughout all of my high school.
Well it's been 1 year and tbh it's nothing like I planned. I flopped my Freshmen year in College (Although it was a great experience) and having to support myself financially (mostly)...not cute But now that It's Summer I'm going back to the drawing board and I'm going to try some new things
Graduating high school seemed daunting at first, but turning 18 and entering young adulthood is such a beautiful time in your life where you'll try and experience so many new things and learn more about yourself and the world around you and start to become the person you really want to be. Like, you think you know alot now, but 4 years down the road you'll realize how naive you actually were.
At first you might feel sort of lost, but you'll realize how liberating it is when you can sort of start making decisions for yourself and realize you have your WHOLE life ahead of you and you can pretty much do whatever you want if you work for it. Literally. Just enjoy it and realize it will sometimes be a rollercoaster, but it's a blessing and you'll only get to experience this time of your life once.
Y'all mfers are young. I graduated university a month ago. I'm now a real person who has to deal w/ real things like rent, transportation, groceries, work, etc. This life has got me SHOOK.
