Can his stans explain this to me? The video is "not defending Cosby" yet the trash himself tweeted that. And before bringing up white men whose rapes were ignored like Polanski again, think about how many of Cosby's victims were women of color. Vile.

He's not Other than inspiring a false sense of superiority in certain music fans, nothing about Kanye is impact. Not his backpack rap, not autotune, not his obsession with European art, not a damn thing.

Right, and what is Cosby now famous for? You think Kanye would have included him without all these accusations? He clearly had a purpose to use him, he's clearly making a conscious comment on Cosby's current fame. And he tweeted Cosby was innocent. What is one supposed to think?

this myth that kanye is the most impactful artist of this gen has gone way too far no one wants to be like him, no ones checking for his material when seeking inspiration. get real. when one starts to believe in their own lies... it's always so sad and pathetic

And yet I'm not entirely convinced that it's a bad thing that they have reacted now and it seems strange to criticize them for that. Criticize them for not reacting in other situations, if you must criticize them for any perceived hypocrisy. That's fine and I can understand that - I think it's fair to take a person's outrage now and question why they have not been outspoken previously.

However - not only are many people who are reacting negatively probably the same people who did support women who came out against Cosby and who do care about these issues, but also I can guarantee you that there are stans who aren't angry just because its their fave. And even if they are, talking about these issues and becoming conscious of problems, ideally with acknowledgement that they have not addressed these issues in the past and could or should have done so, doesn't seem like that much of an issue to me.

This is more about Kanye and the media he produced and whether there are problems with it than about those people who take issue with it. They are separate discussions to me.

The problem is, Kanye is in love with Taylor Swift. He had her naked body (look a like) right next to him and had the camera all in her face while he raps (I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex) then it slowly pans to him. If I were Taylor, I'd do nothing. It'll just keep her connected to him longer if she says anything else. Her Grammy speech and her rebuttals to their claims were enough. Just ignore the old guy, he probably won't go away but at least her connection with him will. His rants about her are really sexual frustration. He'll never get her and he knows it, yet he wants her so badly. Happy this portion is now over and hopefully he'll take that as payback served and leave her alone.
