This is both embarrassing and infuriating. Short-term effects of BREXIT politically/economically are gonna be significant, although I've no doubt that in the long-term Britain and rest of Europe will recover.
Most Americans probably don't even know what the EU is
But this is not about americans so why bring them up? Its like if one of the states in US would want to leave US and you would say 'most europeans dont even know what US is'. Literally off topic.
If most americans dont know whats eu its sad, it should be basic knowledge from politics, geography and economics.
Maybe some of the ones doing most of the 'searching' are Children, Teenagers, Immigrants or just people who can't or don't want to Vote? I am pretty sure that the 'Voters' knows what the EU is and why they were Voting.

You'd be shocked at all the regretful people on the news saying that they voted BREXIT when they didn't know what it is, just because they thought it would never happen.
