But she can't really sing and she's no vocalist. Just because you can carry a tune over a beat doesn't mean your vocalist. Also she is giving me phony vibes. In her HOT 97 she talked about how she grew up loving rap and how it's black culture and so important to us and was just Pro rap everything like she loved it. Now she's saying she never wanted to be a rapper and only did it so she can pay her bills

She can categorize herself as a rapper, a singer or a tree. It won't matter unless her attitude changes.

She got in to rap because she's skilled - but it wasn't her passion or priority. It's still intrinsically linked to black culture.

Anyway, I'll support all her future endeavours because the girl can do no wrong when it comes to music, in my eyes. She's also completey correct in calling out "journalists" - they're utter jokes these days.

i think that she's a rapper that can also have some singing parts but she's a rapper....
like nicki can sing in pills n potions type songs but she still raps because thats what makes her different.

She has been saying this for YEARS, stop trying the "now that she flopped as a rapper she wants to change ' ,do some research.

I didn't know her talking inaudibly on a bunch of fast beats was "rapping."

And good riddance. She wasn't doing anything for Hip Hop culture anyway but making herself look a travesty on social media.

Well, they both went to the same performing arts high school, so I'm not surprised.
