The thing you don't understand is Rih isn't trying to gain a "hit". It just happens for her because she's just that good. Where other artist do big marketing promotions or "events" to promote, Rih will send out one tweet and one IG and be done with it. In some cases, she doesn't even do that. You need to come to the realization--what she touches turns to gold.

No cause it works for her. She doesn't have impact or any classic songs, but she's kinda everywhere, all the time on the radio and people use her and don't seem to get tired of her.
