Still very disappointed with the sales of the album

^...HUGE YES........battlefield was a hit....it reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold 1,390,000 in the US alone.....and reached the top 10 and Top 20 in almost ever country it charted it in.......

His original posting was it was a "huge hit" before he edited.

1.3 million isn't HUGE. Neither is just Top 10/20 in other countries.

^any song that reaches top 10/top 20 is considered a hit........

^any selling 1 million and being certified platinum is very much a big deal......

This girl is STILL releasing? Um, nobody is checking for Jordin Sparks anymore....we're on American Idol season 9 now.....

I didn't say it wasn't a hit. I said it wasn't a HUGE hit. Huge hits are "Womanizer", "Poker Face", "So What", "Boom Boom Pow", etc. These are songs that went #1 in several countries, multi-platinum, and so forth.

"Battlefield" is just a mediocre hit, especially after how big "No Air" was. It performed similar to "One Step at a Time", a 3rd single from a previous album. A first single should perform of extreme measures, coming from a somewhat established artist. Platinum, of course, is an achievement..but nothing to boast about when you have a million other songs reaching 2 million - 5 million.

Anyway her first album was really good and I don't regret buying it and though Battlefield was a great song the rest of the album was rather disappointing

what's wrong about that?? just because SOS flopped she don't have the rights to release any singles anymore?? and even if it's season 9 now, then who cares, she's way too different on who'll win on that season.. she already proved that she has talent.. she had shown what she got.. and if people don't like her, she doesn't mind..
