To be honest, we aren't really taken that seriously when it comes to addressing racism and discrimination in western society. There are times when we're just footnotes or even completely removed from the discussion. The only time that people seem to address the issue that Asians face in the West is when a white entertainer appropriate something from Asian cultures, even then we're only used to attack white people.
I've been reading blogs/articles online regarding this issue, and while there were supportive comments coming from Asians and non-asians (White, Black, Latino, etc...), however, most were dismissive of the plight that Asians face. There were some commenters saying that the racism that Asians experience aren't due to people being racist but due to people just being a*****es. Some saying "you're successful, get over it!" or diverting the topic to "Asians are racists too!" Others were saying that Asians don't face the same level of racism as others or any racism at all. Asians may not experience the same magnitude of racism/discrimination/struggles compared to other minorities, nonetheless, it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen (Islamophobia that many Asian Muslims and Sikhs (because our ignorant society can't discern between the two) experience for instance.)
When it comes to Asians in Hollywood, there were people (if I remember correctly, there were few members here who share the same sentiment) justifying the so few Asian entertainers since it reflects the US Asian population...apparently there's a quota.
Asians do speak up but when your voice is constantly drowned and not taken seriously, it gets really tiring and futile to the point that most start not to care.

Thank you for your reply, it extremely interesting to read.
You really highlighted several points and I completely agree.
As someone who loves many asian cultures and who had the possibility to travel around the world, I feel pretty free to say that asians are actually better at so many things that, maybe, some people from the west might be scared of them. Let me explain, when I go to countries such as Japan or South Korea I feel the progress, I feel a nice environment, I see nice people, I feel a good music industry, something very impressive to me is that all of these things (and many more) co-exist with the history of the relatives countries, for example I walk down the street and I see both skyscrapers and ancient buildings, and that's something that you don't see here in Italy.
To me they have the right balance between past and future, and that's why I feel at home there. Everytime I return to Europe I'm like... are we serious? I think that this society is kinda stuck in the past and and is scared of the fact that western people are not the best anymore in several fields.
Hopefully things will change in the future, we should ALL try to collaborate with each other in order to make this world a better place instead of randomly spreading hate.
Each culture has both bad and good things, if we'd all work to put the good things of each culture together we would live in a perfect world.
