Do you think the US should just legalize all drugs? (weed, coke, meth, lsd, shrooms etc)
I mean there's tons of drug dealers and gangs on these American streets with unregistered guns. The War On Drugs was intentional, having illegal drugs on the streets literally creates gun violence and police brutality. Our prisons are so ridiculously overpopulated it's shameful... it contradicts everything this country allegedly stands for in regards to freedom.
So if people wanna bitch about freedom of guns or whatever they're going on about, why not freedom of drugs? Yay or Nay?
But yeah I'd support the decriminalization of drugs. If people make the decision to use them, I don't see why we should stop them. The War On Drugs proven to somewhat ineffective.
Yes, but the only downside might be that there might be less of a stigma when it comes to doing hard drugs. Though this might be more of a fear some people have and may not represent the reality. Also this might have a positive effect on Some Latin American countries.
Truthfully though, if you want to harm yourself with a substance, as long as you're not being idiotic in the process and injuring someone else, it's your prerogative. If what you're doing isn't harming anyone else, why should I dictate what you do?
Legalize marijuana though. Putting people in jail for something that is naturally grown and medically beneficial is counterproductive.
LSD, shrooms, weed & MDMA should be. Studies show you physically cannot overdose on those drugs, not to mention the fact that hallucinogens have zero potential for abuse & no longterm effects on your brain. Important to mention that cocaine & opiates would be unsafe to distribute to the general population, so that'd be a no.
I'm not sure about all drugs, definitely not all at once though
But some drugs are illegal because of stigma, not effect. Also everyone who wants to do them will do them. I'm just concerned that the more dangerous drugs will suddenly become more popular because the stigma is gone.
