This make me rally sad, because I always say that the younger generation are so accepting and are the beacons for change. But most of the people on YouTube would be younger, and to see this like to dislike ratio means that even young people still have a long way to go in the pursuit of acceptance and love.
Regardless of 4chan's hand in the dislikes, this really does say a lot about society's opinions on LGBTQ people. Not everyone lives in West Hollywood. Even where I live - just a suburb in Middle America - there are VERY few openly gay people. A couple years back, when I was in high school, I gave a presentation in my Government class about why gay marriage should be legalized and, I kid you not, I got death stares from everyone! Even my friends and family who say they're "fine with gay marriage" say they'd beat the gay out of their kids if their kids were gay (I'm not out of the closet, so they probably wouldn't say it in front of me if I were lol). Transgender people have it even worse! LGBTQ problems didn't just end with gay marriage being legalized unfortunately.
Because most of the people in that video 'came out' as a made up gender
.
The comments make me sad tho and it's scary. It's 2016, many countries have gay marriage but there is still so much hate. I think that some people are way too optimistic when they talk about the future and our generation. Our generation is too divided.
From just a quick skim through the video I can tell a good majority of those dislikes may be coming from people who don't agree with any other sexuality or gender that isn't the standard male or female, gay or straight labels.
There's even comments commending and praising the Orlando shooter, what the ****. I don't even wanna type his name as to not further his "legacy". This is such an awful world we live in.

I'm sorry you have to be around that on a day to day basis
