They're less successful than Sony and UMG, hell their I barely know any other successful European act in their catalogues that had an artist break into the US, other than Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue (long ago?), and The Black Keys. Coldplay does not necessarily count because they've only released two records under WMG after Parlophone (their label that can't promote in the US) was unfortunately purchased by the independently owned WMG from Uinversal alongside Virgin Classics ( Virgin Records America was left to operate under Capitol being owned by Universal as a result) and they've released more albums under EMI (operations now acquired by Universal) than WMG.
They have less successful acts than Universal and Sony, like I said and their music videos today look cheap. Look at Coldplay's "Adventure of a Lifetime" MV and try not to cringe. Peace
