I know this is a subjective topic but I'm interested to see everyone's choices.

In your opinion, what is the absolute best genre of music and why?

Personally for me, it's alternative music. I love that it doesn't have a defined sound and it can be both accessible and alien.

House music.

With a pill it's absolutely heavenly.

In my opinion it's disco.

It's catchy, dancey, with beautiful melodies but can still be emotional, deep and serious at the same time. It's a feeling no other genre can pull off. Just listen to this Donna Summer song, it's very catchy and makes you wanna dance but the lyrics are very personal and emotional.



I just love the whole funky vibe of this genre

House, R&B, Pop, and Urban are tied for me.

This has to be the worst music genre of all time I know its subjective but still

Pure pop music

Alternative in my opinion. Pop is great when it's well done (Lady Gaga, Madonna [pre 2000], Michael Jackson)... I love Disco too (ABBA, Donna Summer..)

No genre is ''better'' overall, since every genre has AMAZING artists and also has horrible ones with horrible songs and work... I mean I can say alternative pop or experimental electronic music but I know several bad artists so ...

just great quality pop music like katy perry
