Yes, Wikipedia is way better then those flop sources they make you use, it's like schools purposely make you do extra things you don't need to do, and never would out in the real world.
You should NEVER cite wikipedia as a source, but you can use it to start finding small pieces of information and use the sources that wikipedia sites as a source.
