Mariah has had multiple eras that were all her biggest eras in their own unique way
her newbie era: from MC to Music Box. (1990-1994) where she broke singles and album records. huge success. Mariah took the world by storm.
her ww touring era :from Daydream to Butterfly where she once again produced smash singles and album sales plus became one of the biggest touring forces of the 90s
her flop era aka the "blackout" era : from post-Butterfly to Charmbracelet. This era is defined by how much media attention (and scrutiny) she got; from her Tommy divorce, to dating Derek Jeter, flop sales, to the colossal embarrassment Glitter, to her boob job, to her mental breakdown and rehab check-in, and the gp writing Mariah off as a has-been,
the comeback era: The Emancipation of Mimi. The era that proved Mariah cannot be stopped and could make it through the rain Not only did this era bring Mimi back, but it brought her back straight to #1. She smashed left and right.. TEOM broke record sales, WBT spent 14 weeks at #1 (only behind One Sweet Day).
the 'i am officially a legend' era: From E=MC2 to today: At this point Mariah has poven that she is a legend and can do whatever she likes. defined by Mariah's playfulness (TMB, Obsessed, being drunk, I don't know her revival)
