I generally say the "ten up and ten down" rule is a good one. That said, you definitely don't want to rule out someone you genuinely click with just because of their age.
My boyfriend is older than the 'oldest you should date rule' and we have fun so I wouldn't necessarily follow it to heart.
Although there is a clear generation gap when I'm talking about shows I used to watch growing up (Wizards of Waverly Place, Sonny with a Chance and Hannah Montana) and he has no clue what I'm talking about and vice versa.
I was SO pressed cause they closed my thread, if they don't want personal things on The Lounge bring back the Blogs
OT: I didn't know bout this rule, sis but my new boyfriend is 18 but he seems pretty mature for his age - the oldest guy I hooked up with was 49 - I'm 25
A mess. I'm 25 so according to this I should only date people between this age range: 20-36. Agreed on the 20 but disagree on the 36. I'd date a 32yo at most.
