because you know all of their parents, i guess...? i know my parents don't care at all.
anyways, i think if someone still has some natural resistance to gay people because of their upbringing but are trying to fight it and become more tolerant, then i could still be their friend. but otherwise yes, they are homophobic, and i doubt they'll be capable of treating me with any respect if they "disagree" with my existence anyway, so why should i make myself suffer just to tolerate them?
and honestly, if they don't understand that homosexuality is natural by now, they're just ignorant and i feel like they'd be ignorant on other things, too, so it sounds like being their friend would be irritating.
