let's face it, the world isn't equal.

20% of our population have an IQ below 80 - that's the type of IQ needed to be told how velcro works

we need thick people (like myself) to do the work smart people shouldn't be doing. we need smart people to enter elite institutions and go onto represent our country; you can call it snobbish - i call it being efficient

currently there's an infestation of socialistic views at universities and it's sickly ironic. why on earth would most of you even go to these top institutions if you didn't want to be part of the elite?

an unequal society promotes jealousy/greed and wanting to be better than others - these are good things imo because they motivate people to do better. jealousy/competition are the oils that help turn the wheels of industry and business.

let's not forget most people are happy to sit on their ass all day and do nothing, and we cannot be giving handouts to these people, meritocracy is a real thing.

although we preach about equality, most of us don't want equality, we need to allow the weak to fail. we don't want thick people becoming our lawyers/doctors.

society is better off unequal. an equitable society is something i would support, and equability and equality are two very different things. peace

It depends on the situation. I believe for a properly functioning society to prosper at its maximum, it must guarantee basic rights for everyone no matter their circumstance. This encourages individuals to grow, learn, love...etc to their maximum potential which in turn helps society. Inequality can never be solved as their isn't a one glove fits all solution but on a basic level inequality is stopping us from being in a utopia. It should be strived for even though it's impossible to eliminate. This is why we go to war, have protests, have criminals, etc.

I think that a society should give equal chances to everyone. This way smart people can evolve and become successful and average people can do average jobs.. I am strongly against socialism
Let's be honest we are NOT really all equal because that's how nature is.Whether it's bad or good.You can't put a person with a low intelligence do the same work with someone with a high intelligence

i think obviously ensuring equal human rights is something we should be progressing towards, but that's not the type of inequality im talking about here.

some of us are going to be born poor and disadvantaged. it's an impossible task to want to close the chasm between the poor and the rich. for that reason the government have implemented policies such as 'positive discrimination' which are a load of bogus. or stuff like internships specifically aimed at recruiting only POC it doesn't work and its discriminatory.

inequality as in what? obviously there has to be poor, average and rich people and a mcdonalds worker shouldn't earn as much as a doctor. as long as everyone is born with the ability of moving up or down social classes i don't mind it

"Equality" and "inequality" are extremely broad terms that really only hold meaning when applied to a specific issue. In that sense inequality is indeed not an inherently bad thing, but the problem with this kind of phrasing in the OP is that it can readily excuse the kind of inequality found in social sectors because it's just another part of life.

Your main point of things not being equally not necessarily being a bad thing is essentially meaningless because anyone could tell you that. This sounds like a slippery slope that could poisonously rationalize social inequality when that kind of inequality is the type to be discouraged.
