So I've been chatting with Ace and we've almost come to an agreement on what albums to use for my rate. It's going to be Kanye West's The College Dropout v. Usher's 8701 v. Justin Timberlake's Justified. For a fourth option which would you guys choose: 50 Cen't Get Rich Or Die Tryin' or John Mayer's Room For Squares?

I'm kinda leaning towards 50 since his album works for the rates concept (huge male pop icons of the 2000s).

May I suggest that you do 3-5 and not #2's? Songs that peak in the runner up position kinda deserve a rate of their own. Billboard even published a book specially dedicated to that position (which I own and it's full of great facts).
