Gaga cares about commercial success, just not in the way her stans do. She wants commercial success but she wants it by her terms. That's why it's important for her to work with producers like Mark Ronson because they let her do what she wants while being able to contribute some really good productions that fit around her style.

She's already sold enough to remain one of the highest-selling artists of all time FOREVER, especially considering how sales are going nowadays. Y'all stay acting like she needs to sell more records because she's a new artist or something.
She doesn't need to be a Rihanna-type artist because her career isn't reliant on the things Rihanna's career is reliant on. Despite what stans think, Gaga being featured on some random-ass person's song for a quick hit would do nothing for her because she's never been that type of artist.
What will do something for her, however, is releasing a good song of her own. Y'all are out here worrying about charts while Gaga's busy getting nominated for Grammys, Oscars, and possibly Emmys, AKA the things that will be remembered.
