Being a musician who has been nominated and/or won every single prestigious American award is a pretty big deal no matter how you try to twist it. Very, very, very few musicians have received or have been nominated for Golden Globes, Grammys, Oscars, AND Emmys. Actually, according to this article, not a single musician has done it with a song.

Of course winning is always better, but nominations in this instance show that she is an industry darling and respected by the industry. It'll also help her odds if she's nominated in the future.
