Really? I thought those films were great for what it is.
Fifty Shades represented the BDSM culture which is real, and those people finally got a film to enjoy. Magic Mike sexualized men which is good because we have this perception that only women can be glorified in that manner. And plus one of the cast member was gay so that alone ends the stereotype that all gay men are feminine.
And Bad Grandpa is just a silly movie about a horny old white man who was faithful to his wife for decades until she passed away. Message was to never cheat on your wife. What's so bad about that?
Maybe it's just me, but I don't even look for themes in these films. There just funny and sexy films. It's reality.
