I'm pretty sure all of ATRL's faves have a lower net worth than what we think. Forbes reports how much popstars make in a year, not how much they personally get to take home, which they don't report. $125m is most likely accurate for Katy.

I'm more surprised by Serena's net worth, though. She must get to keep most of the money she makes.

Katy is a successful musician and spokesmodel, but she is not an entrepreneur. She is not running a business or offering a product. Unless, you consider her singing to be her "product".

Not people in here being surprised that Serena's worth more than Katy. She won $5 million for winning just one tournament (The US Open) one year. Majority of the slams pay around $2-$3 million if you win. There are 4 a year. Serena has won 21 Grand Slams. Moving on, there are all the other Grand Slams she may not have won but got to the finals/semi-finals, which still pay a lot of money. That doesn't include all the other tournaments of the year which also pay a substantial amount of money. She has 70 titles in total.

Then, she has massive endorsement deals with reputable brands such as Nike and Chase. She must have nearly 10 endorsement deals in her portfolio. She gets at least $7-10 million from these a year in total. Then she also has her own clothing line (Anna Wintour attended her fashion event), and she's also got several other businesses, not to mention her share of the Miami Dolphins.

That's how she's worth more.
