why, drake and justin are peaking. Only gaining in AI, falling in streams and sales tho..

Sorry for my absence among predictions lately. It's been busy on my end.
Can TIWYCF go #1 next week since she's releasing the video tomorrow and remixes?
I feel like that will push her ahead of Drake at least for a week.

The Hills stopped Hotline Bling go #1, due to remixes
One Dance is huge, and I don't think it'll be enough for TIWYCF will go #1 next.
Probably in 2-3 weeks

Mess at me forgetting to do this again
Predictions from this week
Name | Correctness | Correct songs (top 20) | Total number of positions off | NoMythologies | 85% | 13 | 9 | Artpop | 80% | 11 | 13 | simmnfierzig | 80% | 11 | 13 | Dekkan | 79.5% | 10 | 11 |
Correctness is based on a little formula I invented. It's 100% - incorrect songs * 1.5% - number positions off * 0.5%. The numbers are totally random, but make sense to me.
Good job everybody

“Ride” / ‘Blurryface’
"Ride," from the duo's fourth studio album Blurryface, rises 2-1 to become the pair's second No. 1 on Hot Rock Songs, adding top Airplay and Streaming Gainer honors. The sunny track leads the Rock Digital Songs chart for a second week ( 46,000 downloads sold, up 21 percent, according to Nielsen Music), holds at No. 2 on Rock Streaming Songs ( 8.2 million U.S. streams, up 12 percent) and lifts 4-3 on Rock Airplay (12 million in rock radio audience, up 4 percent).
The Hot Rock Songs rule for "Ride" follows the song's seven-week reign on the Alternative Songs airplay chart (beginning April 9). It's also receiving increased attention beyond rock radio formats, reaching new peaks of No. 12 on Pop Songs and No. 19 on Adult Pop Songs. It pushes 21-17 on the all-genre Radio Songs chart ( 57 million, up 19 percent) and 22-15 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Ride" is the third single from Blurryface, following second single "Stressed Out," which peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100 in February, and lead single "Tear in My Heart," which reached No. 2 on Alternative Songs and No. 6 on Hot Rock Songs. Blurryface became the duo's first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (June 6, 2015) and has sold 924,000 copies ( ) in the U.S. to date. The set has spent six and nine weeks, respectively, at No. 1 on Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums.

Florida Georgia Line, "H.O.L.Y."
Quote:
The ballad hits a new high on the Hot 100, rising 21-17 (after debuting at No. 20, its prior peak, five weeks ago). It also rules Hot Country Songs for a sixth week. On Country Airplay, the song lifts 12-10, up by 11 percent to 29 million in audience, according to Nielsen Music. FGL logs its 11th Country Airplay top 10, having notched five apiece (including four No. 1s each) from each of its first two full-length albums. "H.O.L.Y." introduces its third LP, Dig Your Roots, expected this summer.

DJ Khaled, "For Free," feat. Drake
Quote:
The song launches at No. 18 on the Hot 100, driven by its No. 2 entrance on Digital Songs (105,000 sold in its first week). On the Hot 100, it's Drake's 124th entry. Here's an updated look at the acts with the most visits to the Hot 100 dating to the chart's Aug. 4, 1958, inception (notably, two years after Elvis Presley's career had begun):
207, Glee Cast
131, Lil Wayne
124, Drake
108, Elvis Presley
91, James Brown
85, Jay Z
78, Chris Brown
77, Kanye West
75, Ray Charles
73, Aretha Franklin
71, The Beatles
69, Taylor Swift
67, Elton John
66, Nicki Minaj
63, Stevie Wonder
62, Justin Bieber
Among his total, Drake tallied a record 20 songs on the Hot 100 in one week, dated May 21, the week that his album Views spent its first of six weeks (and counting) atop the Billboard 200.

Shawn Mendes, "Treat You Better"
Quote:
Mendes' new single begins at No. 34 on the Hot 100 and No. 7 on Digital Songs, with 73,000 sold in its first week. The song is Mendes' fourth top 40 Hot 100 hit, following "Life of the Party" (No. 24, 2014), "Stitches" (No. 4, 2015) and "I Know What You Did Last Summer," with Fifth Harmony's Camilla Cabello (No. 20, 2016). "Better" previews Mendes' forthcoming second full-length album.
|
Selena Gomez, "Kill Em With Kindness"
Quote:
Following three Hot 100 top 10s from her album Revival, Gomez bounds 74-52 with the set's fourth single, which wins top Streaming Gainer honors following the June 6 premiere of its official video. The whistle-infused track debuts at No. 48 on Radio Songs (26 million in audience, up 11 percent) and grows by 81 percent to 5.1 million domestic streams and by 31 percent 15,000 sold. "Kindness" climbs 18-17 on the Pop Songs airplay chart, where Gomez also lifts 36-31 as featured on Charlie Puth's "We Don't Talk Anymore." The collab also ascends 35-34 on Adult Pop Songs.

Mike WiLL Made-It x Rihanna, "Nothing Is Promised"
Quote:
The track enters the Hot 100 at No. 75, powered fairly equally by 28,000 in first-week sales and 3.1 million U.S. streams. The track is the first single from Mike WiLL Made-It's forthcoming album Ransom 2. The song also marks Rihanna's 56th Hot 100 entry. Among women, only Aretha Franklin (73), Taylor Swift (69), Nicki Minaj (66) and Madonna (57) boast more, with Rihanna tying Dionne Warwick for the fifth-best total among women.
