Interviewer: "Are you saying that if you become president, you might try to appoint justices to overrule the decision on same-sex marriage?” Trump: “I would strongly consider that, yes." (1/31/16)
Trump [on same-sex marriage] "I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist" (5/2/11)
Trump: "I do think we need to address hate-crimes legislation. But amending the Civil Rights Act would grant the same protection to gay people that we give to other Americans—it’s only fair." (2/15/00)
Now please tell me why any member of LGBT would vote for a man that wishes to amend the rights that we have fought for, for decades. I and millions of us rebuke anyone young to DARE take same-sex marriage from the generations before us that protested for our equal rights to marriage. Don't you ****ing dare, people DIED for us.
Besides this forum's obsession with the candidates stance on gay marriage, Trump is still an inadequate person to have access to nuclear codes, the power to use the veto to override the decisions of Congress, and the sole ability to nominate Supreme Court justices and the heads of the departments of Justice, State and Defense.
