How ignorant can you be?

This was a hate crime against a marginalized group of people. A hate crime that happened because of people treating our rights as secondary and not equal. When a high caliber celebrity shows support and talks about this heinous crime by calling it what it is, a hate crime against LGBT people it makes a huge difference.
Why do you think they make celebrities endorse certain products/politicians etc. Because they have the power to convince people to do something. Or at least convince them to buy/act on something they were hesitant/unsure of before.
