There was a hostage situation near the school one time, and a bank was robbed another time. I was outside of the school, so I had to take this sketchy back entrance.
Once in 8th grade my school was on a lockdown. We had a few here and there but never anything too serious, it was over pretty quickly, but this time it was different. Without question the intercom just tells the whole school that we are in a lockdown. So as usual, the teacher locked the classroom door and closed the window blinds. We waited there for a long time. Then, they tell us to hide under our desks. That's when people started to panic. That has never happened before and we were unsure why we had to go under our desks. We waited there for a long time again and students were starting to tear up. We then hear someone walk through the hallways and everyone stays quiet. We see a shadow walk by through the windows, and then the shadow proceeds to try to open the door and vigorously shake the door handle. The shadow then walks away and students are now legit crying. We stay there for a long time until the intercom states that it's all over now.
It turns out, the drill was fake. It was just a practice drill, (not the first time we had one), only this time they decided to be jerks about and not announce it before hand and make it really long. The shadow walking by was just someone making sure the doors were locked.
When I was in high school, the entire school had to be evacuated because some idiot decided to spray and entire bottle of pepper spray into the vent. I don't know if they caught him or not.

There was someone with a gun around our HS and thought to possibly be inside the building. We were locked down in our first period class for like 2 hours.
I remember leaving anyway cause I had an urgent case of diarrhea and getting reprimanded by the vice principal who was patrolling outside our door.

Unfortunately I don't have any exciting stories but one time there was an actual fire in the school. I forget how it started, it was either something caught fire in the cafeteria or I think a microwave caught on fire in the teacher's lounge? Something like that, and everyone had to wait outside the building for like ever.
some of the seniors decided to do their "prank" and fill every stair with oil and spray and a bunch of **** and a lot of people got injured and they shut down the whole school till they found them smoking pot behind the school in the little forest
It happened one time in sixth form (I live in the UK so it was a bit surprising) and we were told an unknown man had entered the building and we had to stay as we were in the library which was up the stairs from the visitors entrance so I was pretty worried.
Turns out it was a school inspector who forgot to get a visitors badge walking around the school and a year 7 reported him, scared it was a paedophile.

No, but at my university when the fire alarm rings, rather than a bell it's a voice that says "attention please, attention please. A situation has occurred in the building. Wait for further instruction".
So this alarm was going off and we were all stood there waiting for the instructions.... None were given and we just stood there for like 10 mins
Never a lockdown, only twice that someone threatened to shoot up all the students and teachers, both times the school was closed with cops and army people standing in front of the school to be sure. Turned out to be a 'joke'
In 4th grade there was a bear on campus...
Junior year there was someone smoking weed outside.
Junior year a near by school was getting bomb threats for a week straight and we had to go under lock down because of that.
In middle school we had a bomb threat but later someone heard from a teacher that it was just them finding the lyrics to Kesha's Blow written on a piece of paper
