It's different because borders of Africa were arbitrarily drawn with no regard to ethnic groups. European nations have been in contact and their borders/kingdoms have changed over millennia. But the Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese have almost always been isolated nations with little contact with each other and other cultures and ethnic groups. They have different ethnic groups with different origins from each other.
I can tell with some accuracy probably bc I grew up with all types of Asians. Though you can find Chinese people who look Korean and Japanese because it's so diverse ethnically.
