For the past few days I've been non-stop thinking about what the pulse night club shooters intention could have been? What are your thoughts?

All I know is that the Gay community was attacked on purpose.

Could be several things:

- Gay guy in denial and so grows resentment against gay community
- Could be an extremist nut bag
- Could be revenge for Afghanistan (survivors of the incident said he wanted revenge for Afghanistan)
- Could be mental illness
- Could be all of the above mixed together

All in all I think his motives are not important at the moment. We shouldn;t concern ourselves in understanding him as we most likely won't since we are sane,civilized people and he is not. We could never understand his demented way of thinking and "logic".

His school teachers and class mates said they could tell he was headed for major trouble at an early age. His family upbringing reads as if it was extremely dysfunctional. I think if he was gay that probably contributed to his issues, but I think he had other deep emotional problems going on as well.

Isn't that the problem though? His school teachers said they were desperate to get him help at a young age but his family were not supportive. Is ignoring what caused this and just saying words like "it's evil that we can't understand" helpful, or does it just ignore the huge mental health issues this country has, and stops dangerous people getting help and being treated?

you've raised some very interesting and important points tbh. never thought of it that way. we should try to analyze the psychi of a killer much more to help prevent it from happening again.

Yes but we will never know his true intentions so it doesnt matter, its unattainable knowledge no matter how many media rumors clog the story. Remembering the victims is more important.. its a hate cime no matter what.

We'll know in time. The FBI is going through his entire life as I type this. Emails, website visits. Any phones and computers in the home are being searched. Phone records. Associates.

Once the dust has settled there will be factual accounts and reports and most likely a book
