are you reading your posts before replying? or mine for that matter? I don't think people with HIV are lesser people. I don't think that by not having HIV, I'm better. For that matter, I don't think I'm better than a black gay man as a white gay man, for anyone who still thinks I'm somehow racist.
I'm just a very pragmatic person. I weigh the pros and the cons. I've decided that getting HIV is not something I would be ok with, and is not something that would make my life better. So yes, like avoiding lots of dangers, HIV is just another one of the dangers I actively seek to avoid because I decided I don't want to be HIV-positive.
And I want to add, your hand-waving, as if HIV is not that bad or serious of a disease, helps contribute to some of the lax attitudes towards safe sex that is partially responsible for HIV spreading in recent years.
