A Queen Bee In Stockholm Was Just Named After Beyoncé and It’s Perfect

In news that will no doubt tickle the Bey Hive, a queen bee residing at a Swedish University will be named Beeyoncé, after the other Queen Bey.
ABC News reports that the name came as a result from an online poll put out by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, who asked the Internet for help to name their two queen bees at the campus’ two new bee hives. This isn’t the first time that Beyoncé has been honored as a namesake; in 2012, a bee-like horsefly with a “golden booty” was named Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae after the Lemonade singer.
I wish the world wouldn't put Beyonce on this pedestal. But whatever. She's rich and talented so my opinion is irrelevant.
lol you can say this about any and every pop culture icon of the past 50+ years. Bey isn't the only one that's put on a pedestal, she isn't the first and probably won't be the last. None of you complaining don't find it a problem when your fav's impact is epitomized, if they have any impact to begin with.
