If people knew your secrets, would you want to know?

A scenario: To be more specific, you're closeted and have had sexual relations with someone thinking it was a secret, but that person then went and told ~20 other people about it without you knowing. Would you want to know that that all those people knew, some of them being your close friends?
I don't have many secrets, but sure If they know about a secret already, then there's no harm in formally introducing it and talking it through with them. Unless it's something that is way better left unsaid.
