Gaga doesn't get the credit that she deserves. She's been fighting for marriage equality and LGBT rights since the beginning of her career. During her peak, she released Born This Way, an album dedicated to the LGBT. She did this all publicly before it became "mainstream" and "cool" to show your tolerance and acceptance of the LGBT. There is no one like her in this generation and she is truly a social activist. She is willing to stand out there with all of us as equals to fight against prejudice and injustice. Im so proud of this woman.

I'll never get the "Lady Gaga stays exploiting the LGBT community" b/s, from gays who do nothing for their own community but bitch on Twitter. She's a bisexual woman, she's a part of our community to begin with, while others built their debut eras on telling effeminate men they're gay and should hang themselves or lying about bisexuality to market themselves, Gaga was rallying and giving speeches on LGBT rights calling out Obama, calling up the government on policies, informing her fans to get involved, thanking gays for awards she won and used the biggest night of her career (VMAs 2010) to shed light on LGBT issues all in the early stage of her career before BTW and the "using" gays came into the picture. And I could go on about how important BTW was at a time you could count the number of states with legalized marriage on one hand or how important hearing the word "transgender" on radio before it even came into the public's conscience as of late.
This is the same women who's faced protesters, terrorist and bomb treats, arrest and has been banned from countries all due to her LGBT activism and stance. How dare anyone says she's not genuine or exploitative in her support or motives when she outs her life and career at risk. Lady Gaga's so important to this issue, movement and community.
