The film directed by James Cameron achieved revenues of 630 million dollars in the U.S. alone. In the world, the profits from ticket sales have already reached the astronomical sum of 2.2 billion dollars.
Well Avatar couldn't be on top forever... it was there for a long time and was an incredible movie, but all good things must come to an end. Haven't seen Dear John yet, but I find it funny that two Mean Girls stars have starred in movies that are romantic dramas by the same director.
