Twitter has really never been the it social media app, while other apps have had high peaks eventually. Twitter has just been there. But still very successful.
Twitter is one of the least bloated social media platforms and it's easier to deal with the settings. I appreciate how the layout rewards brevity and wit. Plus, it's easier to scroll past annoying posts because, unlike Facebook, my followers are not everyone that I've ever met and their mamas writing vapid diatribes about their feelings.
It's not like FB where you are forced to socialize through a bubble of your network. With Twitter, you are able to reach the entire world. You are able to socialize with people of every walk of life in an easily threaded way.
Twitter is also a great news source since it is the definition of Breaking. I also love the fact that you can essentially watch anything with millions of other people and see their commentary.
