Rowling has paid tribute to a victim of the Orlando shooting who worked at a Harry Potter theme park.
Luis Vielma has been named as one of the 50 people killed by Omar Mateen in the mass shooting at the LGBT Pulse nightclub.
The heartbroken author shared a photo of the 22-year-old, posting that she “couldn’t stop crying” following the tragedy.
Vielma is believed to have worked as a production assistant on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Universal Orlando according to his Facebook page and had studied at Seminole State College of Florida.
His friend, Eddi Anderson, who had been searching for information about his friend earlier on Sunday, described him as "one of the most genuine and kind hearted people I've ever met".
Harry Potter And The Forbidden Journey posted a message to staff on its Facebook page: “Our sincerest condolences on the loss of your friend and co-worker as a result of the horrific event in Orlando.
“Know that there are so many that stand united with you during this difficult time. You are not alone.”
They shared a post which said: “One of the victims was Luis S Vielma. He worked at Forbidden Journey. He was a Gryffindor. He was a kid. He was a human being that died for just being him.
