We assumed it was because the news broke out at the same time it was confirmed that the shooting at Pulse was in the name of ISIS and it all felt too concidential. Anyways just because he is a white man it doesn't mean he doesn't have a connection to DAESH, plenty of whites have joined them., the 3 girls from England who had just finished their medicine degree per example

I'm honestly kinda scared, and I never have felt the need to be scared and/or nervous to be living in the US (despite it being a violent country in general). I can't believe this is all happening at once & out of nowhere..

I guess that's always a possibility. But he may also have been an extreme homophobe who was triggered by everything that has happened recently in our country (legalization of gay marriage, the whole Kim Davis fiasco, the debate over bathroom laws, etc.).

It is all very sad and frightening.

Policeman is now backtracking and saying that he didn't say that he wanted to cause harm. It was a misstatement.

But Lt. Saul Rodriguez said later the tweet was a misstatement. He said the suspect told investigators that he was going to the Pride festival but said he did not make additional statements about his intentions.

"It was a misstatement," Rodriguez said. "Unfortunately, she was given incorrect information initially, which indicated that that statement was made; however, that statement never was made. He did indicate that he was planning on going to the Pride festival but beyond anything as far as motives or his intentions that statement was never made nor did any officer receive that statement."
