Speech that incites lawless action, “fighting words,” credible threats, obscenity, child ****ography, defamation, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, commercial speech, government speech, public employee speech, student speech and speech related to national security are not protected under the US constitution.

You are not entitled to your opinion. You are only entitled to what you can argue for.”
A bit harsh? Perhaps, but philosophy teachers owe it to our students to teach them how to construct and defend an argument – and to recognize when a belief has become indefensible.
The problem with “I’m entitled to my opinion” is that, all too often, it’s used to shelter beliefs that should have been abandoned. It becomes shorthand for “I can say or think whatever I like” – and by extension, continuing to argue is somehow disrespectful.
There should be no such thing as 'free speech', if your words are being made to intentionally offend or hurt someone, you shouldnt be allowed to say it. I can't just go up to a mentally disabled person and call him 'a retard'; well I guess you can in America, but that just shouldnt be right.

If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in at all. You can't only support it when it's convenient or when you agree with it.
They can choose any homophobic thinking as they want. As long it does not affect me personally in a job/school/or relationship. Just don't touch me or hurt me.
