After this Christina Grimmie incident I was thinking about the security when going to concerts.

In your experience, do you tend to get searched prior to entering a concert? How thoroughly are you searched? Are you frisked? Are metal detectors used?

When I saw Mariah a couple months ago I was able to walk right in. My friend had a bag which they quickly searched at the doors, but nobody was patted down or anything. I could have easily have had a gun on me.

Do you worry for your faves safety?

Some just pat you down while others have metal detectors and pat you down as well. In most cases, at least out here in California, tha metal detectors are similar to tha airports. You don't have to take off your belt and shoes but you have to remove all metals,etc from your pocket and purse before you proceed in tha gates.

Also, keep in mind she wasn't performing at some huge venue where security needed to be crazy on point.

My friend went to the purpose tour over a month ago and she said no one searched her bag

They usually just checked my bag and jacket, but when I was at Twenty One Pilots concert few months ago they haven't checked anyone and it was scary Also it's nice they check bags and jackets but you could easily have something in shoes or jeans or something, when I think about it it can't be that hard...

Edit: I've seen metal detectors only once when I went to world hockey championship game but not on concerts. I hope this all changes soon

At all the concerts I've been to, they make you give your belongings (a bag, wallet, cell phone) to security and then, you go through a metal detector.

Usually backpacks aren't allowed, but purses are and security will look through them.

I was at a concert yesterday and they just checked my bag. I saw one person getting patted down though.

at ArtRave someone left their backpack on the floor in the GA area and everyone got scared. It was just some twink and he came back and got it

I usually do get checked (unless it's a free concert)
