Neither version of the video was accompanied by anything (other than repetition) documenting that the proffered backstory was true. However, commenters who understand the language the persons in the video are speaking (Portuguese) have stated that the dialog indicates the girl was punished for some form of licentiousness (such as engaging in premarital sex) and makes no mention of bullying or cancer patients
My mom once did that to my older sister years ago (before I was born), but it wasn't done as punishment; rather my mom said her hair was too difficult to comb/take care of for whatever reason, so she shaved her hair of so it could grow back "better" I guess? Something like that, not sure if what my mom thought is actually true.
Anyways, so apparently the mother in the video isn't punishing her for making fun of a person with cancer?
