I read that Spotify is valued at over a billion dollars, which is why they're able to get funding easily. There is a lot of potential there, and streaming is the future, so the value will continue to increase, but they haven't made a lot of profits. Apple, Facebook, and Amazon are all gigantic, multi-billion dollar companies, so I think it would be best for Spotify to team up with Google/YouTube/Google Play to really lead the streaming services.
